Brig O'Lea Stadium
This was our first meeting in our new home and we were made very welcome by the management.
We were given a tour of the club facilities and grounds as well as gifted with club scarves and season tickets, which were really appreciated by our regular footie fans.
Neilston FC, "The Farmer's Boys", are our local football team and currently play in the West of Scotland League First Division. They were formed in 1945 as Neilston Juniors FC and only recently dropped the "Juniors" from their name but they've been at Brig O'Lea since the beginning so there's a fair bit of local history there.
This wasn't an outing as such but a familiarization of where we might be spending some time and holding group meetings. As such, it did the job pretty well - there was enough room for our members to gather round a table and partake of some welcome coffee or tea and a roll, while nattering on about all manner of likes and woes, as you do.
