Ingredients
For the Chicken:
1½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, diced
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp butter
Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Hibachi Sauce:
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp garlic butter (or plain butter + minced garlic)
1 tsp teriyaki sauce (optional)
Optional for Serving:
Fried rice
Hibachi-style vegetables (zucchini, mushrooms, onion, carrots)
Yum yum sauce
Instructions
Heat the Pan:
Preheat a large skillet or flat grill pan over medium-high heat. Add sesame oil and vegetable oil.
Cook the Chicken:
Add the diced chicken to the hot pan in a single layer. Let it sear without stirring for 2–3 minutes to develop a nice golden crust. Season with salt and pepper.
Add Sauce and Butter:
Stir the chicken and continue cooking until fully cooked through (about 6–8 minutes). Add the soy sauce and butter to the pan. Stir to coat the chicken evenly. For extra flavor, add garlic butter and a splash of teriyaki sauce if desired.
Serve:
Remove from heat and serve hot with fried rice and stir-fried hibachi vegetables. Drizzle with yum yum sauce if available.
