Elnora's sister Anna married her brother-in-law Fred Lindke, and her brother John Jagow married her sister-in-law Minnie Lindke. That meant 2 Lindke brothers and a Lindke sister married 2 Jago sisters and a Jago brother making all their children triple first cousins.
By 1900 Elnora at 16 was living with her sister Augusta Richardson in Lockport, NY. By 1910 Elnora had married John Lindke and they were living on a farm (see Elnora's homestead on the main page) in Erie County just south of Tonawanda Creek in the Town of Newstead with her husband's brother and sister's families, and Malvina (Kleinhans) Koepsel (August Kleinhans' daughter) with her husband and his mother Minnie Koepsel on separate farms within 1,000 ft of each other. Also, by 1920, Elnora's widowed mother Wilhemina "Minnie" (Kleinhans) Jago moved in with her. (see 1910-1920 Homesteads & Census) In 1930 and 1940 Elnora's oldest sons owned farms near her. And by 1950, son Burt a truck driver lived with his wife and children on his parent's farm. John retired from farming before he passed in 1955. Twenty-two years later, Elnora/Ella died at the Genesee Memorial Hospital in Batavia after having been in the Genesee County Nursing Home also in Batavia. Before the nursing home, she lived in Corfu, NY in a mobile home park with her son Burt. They must have sold their farm in Newstead sometime after John died. Elnora and John had 3 children, 10 grandchildren, and over 12 great-grandchildren.
12681 Koepsel Rd, Akron, NY, built in 1825
From the 1909 Newstead Town Map from Historic Map Works, this was the apparent location of Elnora "Ella" and John Lindke's home on Koepsel Rd in the Town of Newstead, Erie County. Wilhelmina (Kleinhans) Jago, Ella's mother, died here according to her obit in 1928 surrounded by her grandchildren (see above). Ella likely lived here until John died in 1955. She lived with her son Burt and his family for several years before they sold the farm and moved to a mobile home park in Corfu, NY.
Ella's older first cousin once removed Malvina (Kleinhans) Koepsel's family lived 1,000 ft east on the same road in a house nearly identical to this one. After Malvina died her son Fred Koepsel and later her daughter and son-in-law Mabel and John Pafk occupied the same farm.

✞Patricia Molen, 86, passed away on Jan. 17, 2024. She was born in the suburbs of Buffalo, New York, to working class parents during challenging times. She was the eldest of four children and with 13 years between her and the next eldest, she spent many of her teen years helping care for her three siblings.
Pat moved with her parents in 1951, to Southern California where she later graduated from high school and, somewhat serendipitously, met the love of her life, Jerry Molen. Shortly after their marriage in 1954, Jerry was shipped off for a 10-month tour in the Marine Corps. While overseas, Jerry demonstrated his absolute devotion with daily letters to his young bride. Their life was a perfect picture of unconditional love, sacrifice and commitment. They were married for almost 70 wonderful years.
Pat had a varied career as she worked as a bank teller, office clerk, and was a licensed realtor for 10 years. She was also entrepreneurial and responsible for starting and operating three businesses in the local Flathead area. She enjoyed sewing, roller skating, bowling, tennis, swimming, ping pong, golf, tending her garden, and traveling.
She was active in many nonprofit organizations and was very active with church assignments. She loved helping others and will be remembered for her sweet spirit, warm smile, and her caring heart.
Her husband's career in the entertainment business allowed her to travel all over the world and she thoroughly loved learning about other cultures and seeing iconic sights. She loved the excitement that came from sharing in the role she and Jerry played in the business of "Hollywood" and the many films they were involved with.
Above all, Pat's priority and passion was her family. She was a cherished and devoted wife, a loving mother, a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a strong, independent woman and she exuded a grace and kindness that made a permanent impression on all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry; son, Steven (his wife Julie); son-in-law, Steve; grandchildren, Bryan, Sarah (her husband Sam), BreeAnn and Austin; great-grandchildren, Emma, Hannah, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Meghan, Jackson and Ezra; brother, Bob; and sister, Beth; her beloved cousin, Betty (her husband Bob); and many special friends.
She is preceded in death by her precious daughter, Lori; and youngest bother, Darryl.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 10, at The LDS Church, 121 Crestview Drive, Bigfork, Montana 59911. Arrangements are under the Care of Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home.
note- Patricia (Lindke) Molen's grandparents were first-generation German immigrant farmers Ella (Jago) and John Lindke who had at most eighth-grade educations and lived hand-to-mouth in an isolated rural corner of the Town of Newstead, NY, on a farm. Patricia's father Elmer Lindke was born and raised in that environment. As a young man, he married Marion Van Riper and they left the farm for a city. They lived through the Great Depression and WWII and struggled as thousands of other people did with limited resources and no access to better opportunities. Elmer's mother, Grandma Ella died in a county hospital after living in a county nursing home leading up to her death. Elmer and his parents represent the entire first and second generations of the Kleinhans Family. Most of their circumstances were mostly similar. But, without people like them where would the US be now?
