John 6:35-40
Will of God
35Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. 36But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. 37All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."
Matthew 7:21-24
Will of God
21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
St. John and St. Matthew teaches us about the "Will of God" in these passages...
Jesus teaches us, here, that He is the Bread of Life...Jesus tells us that He does not do His will, but came to earth to do the "will of His Father"...He says, if we come to Him, we will not grow hungry...If we believe in Him, we will never be thirsty...Some people have met and seen Him and still do not believe in Him...They do not believe that He was the One to come...They do not see this Man as the Messiah...Jesus requires those who believe to accept Him as our Messiah...One must believe in Him to get into heaven...
Jesus teaches about this- "will of of His Father"...His Father's will is two things...One, will of His Father, is that Jesus will not lose any of those that God has given Him, and He would raise those up on the last day...The second, will of His Father, is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him, shall have eternal life, and He will (also) raise them up on the last day...
Then Jesus adds that not everyone who is judged will enter the Kingdom of Heaven...But only those who do this "will of His Father", who is in heaven...Those who were impostors and have had some abilities to do miracles will not get into heaven...Their miracles will not get them into heaven...These miracles may be deeds, and some good deeds will also not get them into heaven...Some men are able to fool others and man thinks they are one thing, and they are not...But the LORD will not be fooled by their ways and their actions or earth...We have to believe in the Father, and the One He sent...
To repeat what Jesus teaches us, only those who do this will of His Father will get into heaven -which is to look to the Son, and believe in the Son- and when you do, you shall have eternal life and make it to the Kingdom of God with the Father...
