Romans 1:20
God is the Creator of All Things
20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
Isaiah 30:18
Waiting on the LORD
18 Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him!
Isaiah 40:29-31
Hoping and Waiting on the LORD
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
John 5:17
God and Jesus are at Work
17 In his defense Jesus said to them, "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working."
Matthew 28:19-20
Jesus Will Always Be With Us, Even till the End of the Ages
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Acts 17:24-27
God is Always Near Us
24 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. 26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.
Jeremiah 23:23-24
God is Nearby, Filling the Heavens and the Earth
23 “Am I only a God nearby,”
declares the Lord,
“and not a God far away?
24 Who can hide in secret places
so that I cannot see them?”
declares the Lord.
“Do not I fill heaven and earth?”
declares the Lord.
Blessed is those who patiently wait on the LORD...This sometimes is not an easy thing to do...In following God and following Jesus, we are meant to learn patience...Sometimes our faith grows by waiting, by learning to wait in Their patience...So it is good that we have a mindset that learns to wait upon the LORD...A patient heart can grow its faith, while a impatient one can lose faith quickly...A patient heart can learn peace...
And most will admit that Jesus is God's Son and God in the flesh and part of the Trinity, so God has came to earth and dwelt among man, and then died for our sins, resurrected, was on earth for another forty days, and then left again -by ascending to heaven...So Jesus disciples and those seeing Him after His resurrection believe that God was visible, and was not hiding during His life on earth...So God is not always hiding...
I sometimes think that God just likes to hide...Sometimes I think that God also likes silence...God seems to go unseen, most of the time...But just because we cannot see things, doesn't mean that things are not at work...Just because my eyes do not see all that goes on, does not mean that God is not at work...Again, maybe He is trying to teach us a lesson on patience...Jesus teaches us that God is always at His work and He is working too...And St. Paul challenges us when he writes that by having and seeing creation proves to us that we need and must have a Creator...When we look at man, woman, child, family, and all the other species, and the skies -it is very hard to deny there is this Great Hand behind all this work...The universe is finely tuned and intelligently designed, by a Grand and Intelligent Designer...
God is Spirit, and is not visible to the eye...And in His Kingdom, His Spiritual World the eye cannot see...So by His nature our eyes do not see Him...But just because our eyes cannot see somethings or the things of God, does not mean that God is not there, and that He is not working...I cannot see all the planets and stars that are in the expanding universe, but that doe not mean they do not exist...Jesus tells us that He will always be near us, even till the end of the ages...And God is always near us as we seek Him and when we need Him...In fact, God tells the Great Prophet Jeremiah that He is a God that is nearby, and not faraway...We cannot hide from Him, so how can He be a God in hiding...God declares and rightfully so, that He fills the heavens and the earth...
