John 5:16-18
God is Working
16 So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began to persecute him. 17 In his defense Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” 18 For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
A mystery can be a sacred thing...The mystery of today is not like the mystery of Jesus’ time...Many things have been discovered and these discoveries have diluted the Great Mystery for some reason...Current thinking and science puts limits on the amounts and types of mystery we believe in...
We do not understand the mysteries of all things...The sacred and holy by their vary nature have to be mysterious...Faith by its very nature is mysterious, and so is hope and love...
But Something sustains us...We are sustained by certain processes...We know that the sun, the rain, gravity, the air, and other things all assist to sustain us...How do all these things work together to keep us alive and how did these things originally all come together?...What keeps these things working together, even today?...Is there Someone or a Source working to this day that keeps these things together and us alive?...
