John 4:4:24
God is Spirit
24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.
John 5:16-18
The Authority of Jesus
16 So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jewish leaders began to persecute him. 17 In his defense Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” 18 For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
John 20:19-23
Jesus Appears to His Disciples
19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.
21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
There are those who insist that there are no such things as miracles...They insist that the laws of the natural world are incompatible with the supernatural and the Spirit...But God is Spirit, so believers believe one thing, and non-believers believe another about miracles, and God intervening to help us...The non-believer sees a miracle as a breaking of the laws of nature, while the believer believes that God and Jesus, who created all things can walk in and out of the laws they created and create a miracle or intervene for a miracle anytime...
God is always working and Jesus is always working too...
There was no greater miracle when Jesus resurrected from the dead on the third day...Divine power happened that day He rose, and a miracle happened, when He appeared to His Disciples...Jesus intervened from the normal laws of nature and came back to life, to visit and teach His disciples for forty more days...Miracles happen because of belief...If God did, in fact, create the laws of nature, why can't He break them?...And breaking a law of nature is what most people call a miracle...
