Desto is an artillery tank mobile that launches explosive shells. Desto has higher-end HP and exceptionally good shot power/range, but has a very narrow shooting angle which can be prohibitive if stuck on or against awkward pieces of land. Desto plays relatively straight-forwardly, shooting mainly for damage and SS meter building, can deal high damage with precision shots and use of clouds, and once it has access to its SS, can destroy very large swaths of land for potential bungees. Desto is relatively easy to learn and use, but does require some precision to maximize both its damage output and bunging capabilities.
S1 is much like a combination of Armor's S2 and Lancer's S1. It is a singular missile that can be launched very far, transforming multiple times the further it travels, dealing more damage with each transformation, and requires pinpoint accuracy to land at all. S1 has the higher potential damage output of Desto's two standard attacks under normal circumstances, dealing upward of 260-280 damage if fully transformed.
S2 splits into three bombs near the peak of its trajectory and will only split if launched a minimum length of time through the air. The bombs will diverge from one another very slightly, but if the attack is centered on the target, all three will typically hit. S2 is the better of Desto's standard attacks when strong clouds (e.g. Thor, lightning) are available.
With its SS, Desto fires a shell that splits into multiple bombs, like its S2, except this time there are five and they spread out from each other as they fall downward in a spear tip formation. When the shell is released directly above a target's head, all five bombs will hit them resulting in massive damage (around 500 or more). If the shells are released higher up, they are able to spread more, resulting in less damage but a huge gouge of land is destroyed instead. This allows Desto some flexibility and options with its SS.
The transformation of both S2 and SS can sometimes be stunted when attempting to launch them from very close to a tornado. In this case, getting closer or further from the tornado may fix this problem.
To maximize bungee potential with SS, one should aim such that the 'tip' of the attack lands just in front of the target, similarly to using Bigfoot's S1, as this will cause a chain-reaction of the bombs destroying land underneath them, whereas if the tip initially strikes the target directly, most of the subsequent bombs will only destroy a lot of land around them without dropping them.
