Lesson 6/3

Hi Everyone,

As we explore different art mediums, it is important that children understand that there also is a process to creating art. In this lesson they will learn that sometimes art takes patience and staying in the lines sometimes matters.

For this project they will need the following…

Large white paper; Any type of dark masking tape; Different colored paint; Paint brushes

Have your child use their fine motor skills and grippers to rip the tape and create patterns on the paper.

Next have them paint each section created by the tape (attempting to stay in the lines as best we can).

Allow the creation to dry and then have your child lift & remove the tape to see the magic that they have created.

This lesson focuses on many skills we have been working on throughout the year… Fine motor skills, patience, creativity, and learning to focus and follow directions.

We cannot wait to see your masterpieces. Have fun!
