Hello families,
Hope you all got to celebrate Earth Day in some way!
Did you know:
The inner core of the earth is hotter than the surface of the sun.
It is the fifth largest of the eight planets.
Earth has a powerful magnetic field.
70 percent of the earth’ s surface is covered in water.
Thought you guys would enjoy some of these facts and ask your family members what they know about the earth.
For the activity: you will need a paper plate, blue or green tissue paper or construction paper and glue.
Step 1 - tear pieces of the green and blue paper for a collage. Keep in mind you should have more blue than green. The earth has more water than land.
Step 2 - glue your torn paper on your plate to resemble the earth.
Cover the entire plate! You can also put a hole in the top and add string to hand it!
