Lesson 5/8

Shabbat Shalom,

In keeping with Spring and the importance of recycling and not wasting, we thought it would be nice if you created these beautiful bouquets using the following...

You will need an 8 1/2 x 11 or a larger piece of paper, an egg carton, buttons, or any round items you have at home, as well as green paper, or if you prefer you can use twigs from outside.

Have your child work on their fine motor skills by ripping the egg carton to create flowers or if they are able to, let them cut out each piece.

You can then have them glue down each piece wherever they choose, and glue the center part of the flowers, as well as attach the stems. Of course, you can apply a ribbon if you would like.

This project is great for their fine motor skills as it incorporates ripping, tearing, cutting, and either squeezing a glue bottle or brushing it on.

Have fun and have a great Shabbat.
