Lesson 4/13

Hi Friends,

As we become more proficient with our fine motor skills and grasp, it is important to remind our friends of appropriate grip. This lesson is intended to focus solely on fine motor skills (please remember everyone is at different levels and therefore we are just working on correcting a grip and not perfecting it).

Ask your child to trace your hand with either a marker or crayon and then continue to do all the members of your household. If you can, use different colors so they can differentiate space when laying out the hand prints.

Try to encourage them to cut a little bit of the hand out (reminding them of how to hold the scissor properly and safely ) and of course if you can please help them finish.

Then let them either paint the glue or squeeze the glue, again great fine motor skills.

Have them work from the largest hand to the smallest hand and let them tell you who’s hand is who and you can label it for them.

Enjoy and have fun.
