Snorx

A reclusive and xenophobic species of humanoid, the Snorx is known for its unusual extreme cold tolerance, low metabolism, and ability to survive in a vacuum unassisted. They typically live in isolated colonies on remote worlds, usually to distance themselves from other civilizations. As they usually lack food sources, Snorxes sustain themselves by absorbing nutrients from the ground (or air, if applicable). 

A large Snorx diaspora exists across many of the galaxy's celestial bodies, usually with no connection between communities. The majority of Snorx communities have not independently developed any method of space travel, and many have hardly progressed beyond neolithic technology and culture. The Snorx diaspora continues to be one of the galaxy's greatest unsolved mysteries.
