Description:

The closest ever gotten to a unified Gergosphere, the Pact of Mutual Coexistence (PMC) was an economic and political zone consisting of most of the Gergosphere, the MG System, the Divide, and a number of now-abandoned trading and refueling stations along the Gap. The idea of a unified Gergosphere has existed throughout the Age of Turmoil, but was never brought into fruition until 3190, in the aftermath of the violent Two Centuries' War. In fear of such a war occurring again, representatives from Dyron, Clementina, Dolesmos, Solis, MG, and several dozen other systems met on Dyron IV that year to discuss a guarantee of mutual non-aggression. Talks were prolonged and delayed for approximately fifty years though, mostly due to poor interstellar routes and rabblerousing campaigns from the uncooperative Calor System. In 3240 however, a compromise was finally struck, and the Pact of Mutual Coexistence was signed by delegates from over two hundred systems and migratory communities. Constituent systems would have to adopt a universal set of laws and were forbidden from declaring war or embargos on one another, in exchange for greater economic freedom with other communities and mutual protection with every member system. This began the Age of Prosperity, where most of civilization lived in harmony and cooperation. 

Unfortunately, tensions began to rise again in 3351, when it was discovered the Urban System was stockpiling ancient Jell Shells and attempting to reverse engineer them. Fearing for the worst, many other systems partook in an arms race, hunting down and adding weapons of mass destruction to their own stockpiles. Universal laws forbidding the use of system-based armies and conscription were mostly ignored throughout this time, as private military companies became increasingly popular. Despite this, no armed conflict ever took place until the fateful day of September 26th, 3367, when a Jell Shell broke through the system defenses of Dyron and struck Dyron IV. The Jell Shell appeared to have been tampered with for a far more destructive outcome, as Dyron IV was reportedly "obliterated" along with its moon, resulting in over 20 billion deaths. 

To this day, the party that fired the shell remains unknown, but what is known is that immediately after the destruction of Dyron IV, all constituent systems of the PMC found their universal alliance no longer able to ensure mutual protection, and began to break away. With boiling tensions and endless accusations in lieu of a central negotiating body, the entire Gergosphere fell into chaos and disrepair, the beginning of what is now known as the Dyromachy.
