Description:

Neopolis emerged as the fusion of the Thylobeian Khaganate and the Venterian United Republic in 4288, an event brought about by a long standing alliance between the two factions that had existed since 3876. Originally, Neopolis responded to foreign powers in an aggressive manner, regardless of intention. This was believed to be caused by lasting trauma from constant Thresher attacks that had plagued the region for centuries. Due to inadequate division of its military, Neopolis would lose control of many systems to the Threshers, nearly being declared fallen by 4317. However, the nation rapidly reformed its military and administration from a fractured horde-state to a sedentary polity, allowing it to reclaim some of its lost territory. This reformation triggered what is now known as the "Neopoltian Renaissance", a period of time defined by great infrastructure development and diplomatic openness, as well as immense patronization of art and scientific advancement. Neopolis would eventually form an alliance with Kyrnomacek, promising mutual military and developmental aid and non-aggression.
