Basil von York

Biography:

One of the most pronounced cases of suspended animation being used, Basil Von York spent most of his life in suspended animation after departing from Terra III in 2440. Before then, he supposedly served as a gun for hire and an air superiority fighter pilot for the "Visari", a short-lived fringe union between ancient Makobans, Roaches, and other cultures. Although his story was at first treated with skepticism upon being unfrozen by a Clementinan patrol, his past became apparent after being forcibly integrated into the Nosopotamian Khaganate's militia, achieving great performance as a low-level grunt and eventually joining the Khaganate's Space Navy as a regional superiority vehicle pilot. He would score between five hundred and three thousand kills across seventy battles in his first few centuries of service, becoming the most decorated pilot in Kyrnomacek history. 

He was dismissed from service in 4421 after his vehicle was shot down over Seron IIV, stranding him on the planet for a month. He rejoined the Navy in 4462, partially to renew his honorary de-aging nanomachines and to serve in the Thresher wars, where he scored an additional one thousand kills and was promoted to Grand Admiral after showing "sufficient administrative ability". Currently, he is the colonial director of the Sckithivyar system, where he recklessly and regularly joins lesser pilots in major space confrontations.
