Umarmers are close range, highly capable melee combatants that belong in the Organoid tier.
Spawning
Can be spawned by Proto Hiveminds when they have a target.
Can be spawned by Hivetumors when they have a target.
Can be spawned by Outpost Watchers when they have a target.
Unique Behavior
Umarmers, instead of doing regular contact damage, will perform a slam, which has an AOE range of roughly 4x4x4 blocks. Slam attacks inflict Mycelium Infection II for 30 seconds and deal 3 reversed knockback, meaning targets are knocked towards the Umarmer that damaged them.
If an Umarmer's target gets within ~2.23 blocks of it, the Umarmer will attempt to grab the target with its ribs. While a target is grabbed, the Umarmer will continually deal damage every half second and inflict Slowness II for 20 seconds and Mycelium Infection III for 30 seconds. Players can escape by dismounting.
Every 5.5 seconds while having a target, Umarmers will attempt to pin their target down with their ribs. If successful on a player, they'll be forced into crawl mode. While a target is pinned, the Umarmer will continually inflict Slowness II for 20 seconds and Mycelium Infection III for 30 seconds. Players can escape by dismounting. If an Umarmer's pin attack carries through but they fail to pin their target due to being out of range, they'll spawn a Wave entity instead. Waves have a 3 second cooldown of being spawned on top of the 5.5 second pin attack cooldown (8.5 second cooldown total). Waves are essentially invisible shockwaves that deal AOE damage (see below for more info).
If an Umarmer is damaged by a ranged projectile, the Umarmer will start shielding its body with its ribs. While shielding, Umarmers take x4 less damage from ranged attacks. They'll stop shielding as soon as they initialize an attack.
Variants
Umarmers have a 75% chance to spawn as one of their three Variants (excluding normal Umarmers), with an overall 25% chance per Variant.
Crispy Umarmers set targets on fire for 10 seconds when dealing melee damage. Additionally, they have a special Body Heat value (in regards to Frostbite) compared to other Organoids, that being 3. They can also be used to obtain Charred Blood Samples via Syringes.
Bile Umarmers inflict Biled I for 10 seconds when dealing melee damage.
Corrosive Umarmers inflict Corrosion II for 30 seconds when dealing melee damage.
Behavior
Umarmers are hostile to most non-Spore mobs, with the exceptions being Animals and Fish (unless Should attack Animals is enabled via the Config) and mobs included in the Mobs Not Targeted blacklist within the Config.
When Umarmers either spawn or despawn, they'll display an emerging or burrowing animation. During the emerging state, they are invulnerable to all damage; not, however, the burrowing state.
Umarmers are immune to negative effects that are not above amplifier I.
Affected by Crowd Control.
Umarmers are stationary; immobile.
Umarmers have a passive regeneration equivalent to about amplifier II. This is disabled while they are freezing.
Umarmers can breathe underwater.
If Umarmers detect they're on a block with a hardness of 4 or more, they'll instantly despawn.
Present a weakness to the cold.
Are affected by the Despawning System.
Are affected by Vanilla Despawning.
In regards to Frostbite, have a Body Heat of 2 and Enum Percentage of 7.5% (excluding Crispy Umarmer Variants).

Spawning
When an Umarmer attempts to perform its pin attack, if its target is out of its melee range, the Umarmer will spawn a Wave instead.
Unique Behavior
Waves are immune to all damage types.
When spawned naturally, Waves will travel to their parent Umarmer's target.
Upon a Wave coming in contact with their desired target, they'll disappear and inflict AOE damage to all target-able entities within a 4x4x4 block radius.
If a Wave has existed for 7 seconds, it will despawn.
Behavior
Are affected by Vanilla Despawning.

The Umarmer is a suggested Mob, coming from the mind of @jwt114 in the Spore Asylum Discord server.
'Umarmer' is German and means 'hugger'.
The texture for Crispy Umarmers utilizes the old texture of the base Umarmer. This is because it was made before the Umarmer was retextured.
The Crispy Umarmer Variant was created because the mod creator was displeased that The Flesh That Hates mod was beating Spore strength-wise. Crispy Umarmers exist to to exploit the Flesh's weakness to fire.
