Grakensenkers are water Calamities.
Spawning
Spawned from a Womb when the parent signal is below Y=70 and in a 14x14x14 area around the parent signal location there are seven or more water blocks.
Unique Behavior
Swims extremely quickly underwater, and it is nearly impossible to escape him while submerged. He swims backwards with his tentacles out like a squid in real life does.
However, when on land, he is able to crawl like a spider with his tentacles via procedural animation.
Able to breath underwater.
The hands of the Grakensenker have a 16 block follow range and can target entities independently from their Grakensenker. His hands will move towards and grab entities, bringing them towards and putting them in the Grakensenker's front mouth in a sitting position. When in the mouth, the target will take continuous damage. If the target is a player, they can escape by crouching when being held by his hand or when in his mouth.
If the hands grab a target underwater, the target's breath will be drained much faster. Additionally, the target takes drowning damage much quicker too.
The hands are capable of breaking blocks with a hardness of 5 or below.
If a hand is damaged, it will stop attempting to grab entities for 5 seconds.
The damage dealt to targets in the mouth is separate from the Grakensenker's regular melee damage, meaning he can damage targets in his mouth and melee a different target at the same time.
There is no limit to the amount of entities that can be in a Grakensenker's mouth.
When the Grakensenker doesn't have a target, isn't trying to move anywhere, and is in 12 block deep water, he will create a vortex. When the Grakensenker has a vortex, he completely stops moving, even if he has a target (aside from his hands). The vortex starts at his back jaw and ends at the surface of the water, where bubbles will be visible. The vortex is invisible to players above the water. If a target-able mob or boat gets within range of the vortex, it will drag the entity down the vortex and into the Grakensenker's mouth. Any targets in boats will immediately be dismounted. If the Grakensenker is damaged, the vortex will disappear and he will not be able to create another one for 1 minute.
The hitbox of the Grakensenker can shrink and grow depending on the situation, allowing it to squeeze into different areas. The smallest its hitbox can shrink is 3x3x3 blocks. The largest its hitbox can grow is 3x3x9 blocks.
As the hitbox's size increases, so does the step height of the Grakensenker. Be default, he has a step height of 1.5, like all Calamities. For every block tall the hitbox is, the step height increases by 1. This caps out at 4 blocks, meaning the Grakensenker can have a maximum step height of 5.5.
The Grakensenker's mantle/back jaw takes x3 damage.
Grakensenkers, when idle with no objective and not in an Ocean biome, will search in a 128 chunk range. If finding an Ocean biome, he will set it as his objective and start making his way towards it.Â
If the Grakensenker is completely submerged in water, he will appear tinted to the color of the water to players above the surface, making him hard to spot. If a player is in the water, the tint will disappear from the Grakensenker.
The Grakensenker has a 0.3% chance to perform his spore burst ability every tick and can only be successful if the target is within ~14.4 blocks; or a 20% chance when taking cold damage. He will summon a Scent and give Strength, Conduit Power (both for 30 seconds at amplifier I,) and Resistance for 30 seconds at amplifier II to all allies within a 16 block radius. The spore burst will also apply debuffs to mobs within a 16 block radius. The debuffs include Darkness, Mining Fatigue (both for 30 seconds at amplifier I,) and Mycelium Infection for 30 seconds at amplifier II.
When performing a spore burst, all Infected, Evolved, Hyper Evolved, Scampers, and Gastgebers within a 16 block radius will receive 0 - 3 kill points.
Additionally, when doing a spore burst, all CDUs within a 16 block radius will be clogged, meaning they no longer work. They can be fixed by breaking them and placing them back down.
Grakensenkers have three possible custom death messages, being "<player> was eaten by Grakensenker", "<player> was crushed by Grakensenker", and "<player> was dismantled by Grakensenker". 50% of the damage Grakensenkers do is custom 'calamity damage 1', this solely affects the death message. If it fails, 50% chance to deal 'calamity damage 2'. If that fails, 50% chance to deal 'calamity damage 3'.
Behavior
Grakensenkers are melee combatants, attacking mobs with Infected forms, golems, and most hostile mobs.
Grakensenkers inflict Mycelium Infection II for 30 seconds when dealing melee damage.
Essentially has Sweeping Edge, as their attack has an AOE.
Grakensenkers have a step up height of 1.5, meaning they don't have to jump to go up blocks that are 1.5 blocks tall. Though, it is capable of increasing depending on the Grakensenker's hitbox size.
The minimum amount of true damage a Grakensenker can deal to a target is 30% of its base melee damage, however the Womb Crafting System can increase that.
Can fall from up to 28 blocks before taking fall damage.
Has a follow range of 64 blocks.

Grakensenkers have 1.0 knockback resistance, meaning they can't be knocked back by attacks.
Grakensenkers do not attempt to group together, nor do they follow mobs. They are lone hunters.
Evolved mobs will follow Grakensenkers.
Can perform low leaps/dashes to chase prey quickly through water.
Able to use kill points to give themselves buffs, such as strength or speed if the target is running away. They can also give themselves regeneration if they are low on health.
Capable of breaking blocks with a hardness of 5 or below.
Have a damage cap of 100 (x50 hearts.)
Present a weakness to the cold, like all spore mobs.

Trivia
The Grakensenker is a suggested mob, coming from the mind of @blu_gy in the Spore Asylum Discord server.
Another proposed name for the Grakensenker was 'Tintenfisch'.
The Grakensenker uses he/they pronouns and is a femboy/twink.
'Grakensenker' is German and means "trench sinker".
Grakensenkers are based on the Kraken mythological creature originating from Norwegian folklore.
The teeth inside the Grakensenker's throats are based on the papillae inside the mouths of leatherback sea turtles.
The Grakensenker is currently the only Calamity to not have a ranged attack, though it is planned to be updated to have one.
