Brotkatze

Brotkatzes are the Hyper Evolution of Braiomils, belonging in the Hyper Evolved tier. They are highly mobile, short ranged combatants with AOE attacks.

Spawning

• Hyper Evolved from a Braiomil when she obtains at least 7 Evolution Points and her 10 minute Evolution timer expires. Once it does, she will Hyper Evolve into a Brotkatze.

• Can be spawned by Challenge Watchers as a special mob during a Challenge Raid.

• Can be spawned by Vigils during the third wave of a Vigil Raid.

• Can be spawned by the Reinforcement System.

Unique Behavior

• Brotkatzes are capable of performing AOE gas attacks. In order for a Brotkatze to perform her gas attack, her target needs to be within ~10.9 blocks. Once this is true, she can arm her gas attack; it takes 2 seconds to arm. Once a Brotkatze's gas attack has started, it will stay active for as long as the Brotkatze has that specific target within range. While active, all target-able entities within a ~25.8 block range of the performing Brotkatze will continually be inflicted with Wither I for 10 seconds, Weakness II for 15 seconds, Mycelium Infection II for 30 seconds, and Marker II for 2 minutes. These effects can be prevented by wearing a Gas Mask. An active gas attack is indicated by smoke particles billowing from a Brotkatze's mouth and the mouth of her unborn child.

• While a Brotkatze has a target that is within 4 to ~6.9 blocks, she can perform large leaps towards her target. Additionally, Brotkatzes can also perform smaller pounces towards their targets when in close range. They can utilize this to leap across small gaps to reach targets.

• When eaten by a Womb, the resulting Calamity will have the Localization Attribute (one additional level per applicable Mob eaten). This is in relation to the Womb Crafting System.

• Used to obtain Rotten Blood Samples via Syringes.

Behavior

• Brotkatzes are hostile to most non-Spore mobs, with the exceptions being Animals and Fish (unless Should attack Animals is enabled via the Config) and mobs included in the Mobs Not Targeted blacklist within the Config.

• Brotkatzes inflict Mycelium Infection I for 30 seconds when dealing melee damage.

• Capable of breaking blocks with a hardness of 3 or lower.

• Cannot ride Boats.

• Can perform short dashes in liquids to pursue a target.

• Brotkatzes have a 5% chance to drop a Scent upon death unless they are freezing.

• Brotkatzes will create Nests.

• Can fall from up to 8 blocks before taking fall damage.

• Brotkatzes have 1.0 knockback resistance, meaning they can't be knocked back by attacks.

• Melee attacks of Brotkatzes have an AOE.

• Brotkatzes can see targets through walls if they are closer than 10 blocks.

• Able to utilize Kill Points to grant themselves buffs.

• Present a weakness to the cold.

• Brotkatzes are not influenced by Horde Mentality; they are lone hunters. However, Infected, Evolved (excluding Chargers), Bairns, Scampers, and Gastgebers will attempt to pair up with them.

• Brotkatzes can be Linked.

• Are affected by the Despawning System.

• Will despawn during Proto World Modifier if they are at least 256 blocks away from a player.

• Are not affected by Vanilla Despawning.

• In regards to Frostbite, have a Body Heat of 3 and Enum Percentage of 5%.

• All Brotkatzes, like Braiomils, are female. This is shown by the unborn child on their stomachs, indicating the woman was pregnant before she got infected.
