On 8 December, 2025 we attended a lecture conducted by Dr. Kinley on blood pressure management in veterinary patients. This session was particularly insightful as blood pressure monitoring is crucial in diagnosing hypertension, shock, and anesthetic complications. He explained the principles behind Doppler and Oscillometric methods, indications, factors affecting blood pressure, and how to interpret measurements for clinical decision-making.
We also learnt that unlike in humans, there are 8 types of blood group in animals. Understanding blood pressure categories and management protocols helped us recognize its importance not just during surgery, but in routine examinations and critical care settings.
We are so grateful to Dr.Kinley for adjusting a time from his busy schedule to share his knowledge with us.
