Student-to-Student Teaching

Why to use?

This exercise is an opportunity for practicing knowledge sharing.

Students are asked to prepare, conduct and evaluate a session of knowledge sharing for their team and document it.

Students can share whatever they want including but not limited to project-relevant knowledge.

When to use?

A couple of weeks into the course your team should start to work with this tool.

Your team can decide to do all sessions on the same time or to distribute them.

How to use?

Essentially this is a very basic exercise. Each student chooses something to share and then decides on how to share it.

Afterwards the sharing session is evaluated (by the presenter alone and by the team):

  • Did the presenter manage to convey the intended message ?

  • Was the session designed in a good way?

RULES:

  • The Student-to-Student Teaching sessions must be conducted by one student at a time

  • Pairing up is not allowed (discuss why this is reasonable!)

  • The sessions should be physical session

Your Student-to-Student Teaching session is documented in the Individual Learning Report - c.f. the EiT Handbook
