This exercise helps your group to map the competences within your group.
You will probably do this exercise one of the very first times you meet in your group.
Your group might want revise the triangle in the middle of the course and towards the end.
You need to bring post-its and a piece of A3 paper. Draw a triangle on the paper as shown on the figure.
On post-its each group member writes key-words within the below mentioned fields; one keyword per post-it; 3-5 post-its per group member per field. The post-its are then individually placed on the appropriate side.
THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE: educational and theoretical knowledge (examples: construction, physics, economics, city planning, chemistry, health planning, design, etc.)
WORK OR EXPERIENCE BASED SKILLS: trained skills, process competencies, leadership training, etc.(examples: computer games, explorations, writing, club activities, etc.)
PERSONAL competencies: personal qualities and resources (examples: humor, patience, temperamental, steady, accurate, etc.)
Make a photo documentation of the map.
Part 2
Each group member remove his or hers post-its from the paper keep them at hand.
Individually you then ask yourselves: What would I like to bring into this team and this project?
Each group member in turn brings in resources to the group triangle which he or she finds relevant and interesting to circulate/implement in the project work. Minimum 1 element for each dimension
The group takes a look at the whole and analyzes what resources are at hand, and what the strengths and maybe weaknesses of the group are
