Why
Test and Learning Cards are useful when you need to validate your hypoteses. When you want to back up your beliefs, hopes and guesses with facts.
By using the Test and Learning cards you can focus validating specific hypotheses one by one and learn where you need to change something - instead of just asking the big overall question: Is it a good idea?
When
The Test and Learning Cards can be used all through the innovation process whenever you need to test an assumption.
In the early stages you will probably want to test assumptions about the customer problem and the value of your solution. Later you will want to test the critical assumptions in your business model.
