Ryu is specifically a Japanese Dragon very commonly associated with the rain and water sources of Japan. Most Ryu are good natured and have powerful innate magical abilities. They are known to grant wishes, are associated with luck, vitality, wisdom, and strength. Their bodies are long and snake like, with four short limbs with specifically three talons each for their region. The Ryu is covered in scales, sometimes portrayed with a mix of fur. They often have a single wirey whisker on each side of their maw, and their length signifies their wisdom.
