Arsenal Suits are advanced modular protective suits. They have been the symbolic image of the Aegis since the Age of Journey. The were originally designed by necessity to protect against the Black Plague during the Black Death Campaign. However without the proper augmentations, the user will not be protected from extreme heat cold inside an atmosphere where heat and cold convection will occur.
Six examples of the Arsenal Suit fit to one individual.
These are basic armor protection levels. The higher the armor level, the greater the protection. However it limits other abilities, like spell casting, movement, etc. Having lighter armor can allow faster movement and for more complex movement and more advanced physical techniques. Remember, higher the number doesn't mean better all around.
All armor permutations are removed, with only the base armor left. Appearing to look like skin, it provides the least amount of protection, but gives a unique trade off. This option allows for the most magic augmentations. Spell casting is the most devastating at this level as there is no interference from the Suit.
Examples:
A light amount of armor is worn. At least some is preferred for someone who wants to make a hasty rush to get up close and personal. The maximum power of spell casting is limited to a degree, so using magic alone is traded off with being slightly more durable.
Examples:
A standard armor set. The entire body is covered in light to medium armor. This provides an energy signature that interferes with natural energy, as a result, using magic is difficult an requires more focus to execute. It provides a balance of normal speed, normal protection. It's still light enough to allow for hand to hand techniques but is considered the most rounded.
Examples:
Advanced protection is provided to the Arsenal Suit. This can withstand more damage, but at the same time has become cumbersome. To move unhampered in this armor requires a lot of physical training. Though more cumbersome, close quarters combat is still handy in this set as the weight of a simple punch or kick is enough to hurt someone. Physical strength augmentations may be added. Physical movement boost units can be used to provide bursts of speed.
Examples:
Heavy armor permutations cover the entire body. This provides the highest defensive capabilities of any armor set. It however it is very cumbersome, making any movement very slow. The user will have a difficult time utilizing any cover unless it can cover their entire profile while standing up. This armor set is capable of using physical strength augmentations to help wield HMGs and all manner of heavy weaponry. Physical movement boost units can also be used to give yourself a chance to dodge any attacks.
Examples:
With with those given armor, can use a myriad of ways to carry it in a nice package to call to battle when needed.
The suit is sealed away by ancient runic symbols. Primarily it is by reading the words engraved out loud will summon the caster. The runes in question that summon the armor can be placed on an object or on themselves as a tattoo, etc.
Positives:
Negatives:
This variant is worn on the back and when needed will assemble itself around the individual from the pack itself. The armor inside is folded and compressed, Upon activation it will simply spread it's individual parts out by shifting. Most often this suit is seen worn by those who do are not magical.
Positives:
Negatives:
The use of magical forces to conjure the armor. Strength of the armor depends on how strong the caster is. The number of times the caster can summon the armor is limited only to their strength as an individual.
Positives:
Negatives:
Spirit armor is given to the spirit of a dragon, this method is the least popular since it requires great mental focus and practice in order for it to work reliably. The result of one who has mastered this technique can don the armor at a mere thought, and the strength of the armor is also reflected in the strength of their spirit making it potentially indestructible, though what determines the strength of their spirit is inconsistent and not well documented.
Positives:
Negatives:
The base suit is custom fit and tailored to the individual. The base suit is not much more than a skin, it is durable and designed to keep it's form against the effects of a vacuum without expanding or otherwise becoming cumbersome during it's intended use. The skin is also contains a large array of sensors and electronics to aid the person inside. The second layer are the metallic parts included on the extremities and a little on the chest. It's primary function of the lighter armored pieces to layer additional pieces of armor or augmentations for multiple purposes.
One of the most advanced features of the suit is it's ability to defy the effects of gravity and effectively ignore it. Built to meet the demands of increasing the speed of deploying soldiers to the ground, this, the immunity to the g-forces exerted by the travel time grants a strange side effect inside the suit. While gravity still pulls the wearer to the ground and is effected by gravity normally, the extreme effect of the anti-gravity measures makes the wearer feel as if they are floating in space or otherwise feel completely displaced from where they actually are. This includes the sensation of balance, while the weight of the suit is not absent, the act of standing under a normal gravity environment lacks a normal tactile sensation of standing. The result of an individual trying to stand results in them falling over, overreacting to leaning, reacting as if under the impression they are floating in water, nausea and dizziness. Training remedies this problem. A benefit of this is the lack of gravitational resistance, which allows the wearer to leap great heights, though this is somewhat limited by the need to shift the weight of the suit itself. Sensations related to being struck, the pressure of being struck, but the sudden change in speed will not be felt.
