Dominated by lines of hills unfolding in concentric rings radiating outward from the Blackwater Bay, this forest is canopied by massive old growth ash, oak, and elm trees.
The heavy canopy casts a deep shadow on the ground below preventing most undergrowth accept for the areas where fallen trees have allowed light to break the curtain of darkness.
While the forest provides shelter for many forms of life from the mundane to the monstrous, it quickly becomes apparent that the forest is being invaded by exotic species not normally found beyond the murky depths of the oceans. Various forms of molusks, cephalopods, cyaneidae, and crustaceans have become adapted to life beyond the coast.
