Second Ship log entry.
I Minjartis Berevan have been tasked with writing this entry into the ships log by one of the captains of the ship who insists on being called first Officer Morningdew. This adventure consisted of First officer Morningdew (novad) Wenzan, Manawa, Imeral, Kastor, and Rhys. The team ventured to the outpost town of Rock port. Where there shipment of custom built sails where waiting for pick up. While in town the members did some checking in with the guild hall where they where told a rival adventure company who's name escapes him at the moment but I am sure he will instruct me to make an addendum to this later adding it. The guild master told the crew that he had a guide book that the company has published and issued them one. First officer Morningdew wish me to put here that that son of a gun charged us 25 gold for it too. The team then decided that the "ship" they where using was to large a ship for them to crew alone. They decided to find a crew. After looking around they happened on to our crew. Lead by Bosun Jorg. Also known as Jorg "the pail" The crew consist of the fallowing members.
Jorg - Bosun
Tarvok Brazzik - Quartermaster
Cedrik,
Bevyn,
Erland
Karin
Pallaber Tosscobble
Thornague
Minjartis Berrvan
The Captains of the ship negotiated a salary for the crew to be paid an extra 5 gold per month to the Bosun and to be distributed as he sees fit to his men. As well as 95 gold a month to be paid out to the crew as the Bosun sees fit. (correct me if i wrong on this my memory may be fuzzy). After the crew was shown the "ship" if you can really call something that can fly a ship. However without a term that is more correct I will refer to it as just that. The new crew got to work quickly rigging the sails on the ship and soon we where under way. The "owners" decided that they wanted to hunt griffin eggs. They moved north to where they knew some of these beasts lived. After what seemed like forever they returned to the "ship" and had in there possession two eggs that where about the size of a large stew pot.
The "owners" decided that the new island to the south that the guide book was written about needed to be explored. So we set the sails to take us south. After what seemed like a weeks ride south we ran it what we can only describe as a stationary storm after deciding to skirt the storm rather then force our way through it we seen what seemed like a tower at the center of it. That seemed to be carved by the lightning of the storm. Along the edge of the bad lands that surrounded the area around the tower we seemed what first officer Moringdew describes as very military style encampments. He wishes me to quote him here. " That looks like those damned hooches they made us set up when i was in the military"
A few days past the tower we finally hit open water. With the winds at our back we should have see the island long before we did. The crew member on duty in the crows nest said that it looked cloudy and then all of a sudden poof it was like the island appeared. Upon landing the crew seen some local carnivorous plants that seemed to entice prey via swaying. First officer Morningdew wanted me to say he got an uneasy feeling form those plants like they wanted to eat him. While traversing through the jungle the shore team noticed it was getting dark and decided to head back to the "ship" and where ambushed by what First Officer Moringdew describes as a big centipedes. They finally made it back to the beach and noticed that the beach was littered with different sized shells of eggs and they wound up fighting some Crabs that where the size of large horses the shore team managed to dispatch them rather quickly and returned to the ship.
