Still Under Construction. Will be greatly expanding domains available to characters.
In the beginning, there was only the Flux, a nebulous chromatic ribbon of energy expanding across the void. Churning and reacting with infinite and complex combinations of radiance not bound to only visible light, the Flux sparked into existence the first consciousness. Born unbound by time or space, this consciousness became aware of all and with its awareness brought order to the chaos. Emerging from the genesis of time and space, the first God Krytontus erupted into form and found that reality and his will were one.
In the realization of existence, Kyrtontus gave form to his knowledge of truth and Tor emerged from the flux. Tor embodied the very essence of truth, order and the struggle to remain distinct from the void and resist the inferno of chaos.
Beholding his new brother, Krytontus came to the knowledge of joy, and this he gave form as Ewanwa emerged from the flux. Ewanwa was joy and love incarnate. Through her, the gods found that life can grow without limit.
In his knowledge of fulfillment despite the emptiness of the void, Krytontus gave form to Stratus. Emerging from the flux, Stratus embodied the respite from the absolute, Stratus became the source from which sustenance can be found from the expanse and that time would be divided into seasons.
In fellowship, the Gods came to know unity and together they realized the satisfaction gained from creation. Together the gods gave this form and from the flux emerged Keleth-Dor. Keleth-Dor embodied the gain found in creation and the benefit of shared effort.
In a great celebration of creation, the Gods expanded their will into the existence of the elements. Stone, Fire, Wind, and Water were given form. Reaching into infinity, the point at which the elements united, Oathos became. In this place the gods spread their will into an elaborate weave of the elements and the flux. Systems of reality gave rise to cycles and seasons long and short ensuring an ever changing tapestry that the gods could set into motion and revel in its evolution. From the passion of the gods and the laughter of their merriment, spirits sprang forth and found balance in the many folds and niches of the new world. Mixed among the raw spirits of nature were an infinite array of life spirits great and small. Given the gift of flesh the spirits joined the gods in their enjoyment of creation and were sustained by their light.
The gods continued to create ever finer forms of existence and soon the burden of their endeavor became clear. Even they were unable to find a point at which they could call their creation complete. The more they focused on ever smaller measure the more they found remained unfinished. The creation had found a beginning, but no end could be fathomed by the gods. With the realization that creation had to find an end for itself, the gods gifted Oathos and its ever changing life free will to find its own end.
To address creation’s dependency on the light of the gods, they spun the infinite ribbon of the flux into a great orb of sustaining energy and set it into motion over the surface of Oathos. With a flash the Magestar ignited and burned with a fierce magical radiance. With the birth of the Magestar a wave of immensely powerful radiance washed over the gods and their creation and into the void.
So infused with the power of the gods and the very fabric of creation was this wave of energy that the shadows of the gods and creation was burned into darkness of the void. From the void emerged the newly born gods of shadow. Each a negative copy of the god from which it’s shadow was cast, the gods of shadow tore themselves from the void and sought to join their brethren in creation. To their torment, they found that they had no ability to create. The magical light of the Magestar a torturous radiance they could not abide. Unwillingly banished to the Shadowfell, the world of shadow created beneath the elemental plane, the shadow gods festered in their separation from the light. So full of loathing and disdain for the starlit realms above, they plotted and planned to bring an end to it all. They would steal from the blessed spirits of the realms of light the gift of free will and enslave all of creation. The only end they would know would be Oblivion.
So began the great struggle for the fate of Oathos. Light against shadow for the very soul of creation.
