Summary: My study focuses on sample entropy, a nonlinear measure of unpredictability in a postural control data time series. Using MATLAB, I conducted data reduction and analysis on static balance data collected from 242 Cadets to assess the effect of a changing tolerance value on Sample Entropy. Results from this study will inform the data analyses I’ll be conducting this summer while working with data from the MASTR-E project at the Natick SSC and developing ways to quickly assess the effect of fatigue on neuromuscular function in soldiers.
