Summary: My research focuses on the application of topology optimization, a design process that provides the optimal design for a given study’s constraints and goals. I am interested in determining how effective topology optimized designs are when applied to solve real-world problems, such as the design of a structural panel subjected to blast loading. This independent study is focused on determining the benefits and limits of topology optimization and works primarily in SolidWorks and LS-TaSC.
