Summary: This research analyzed the tensile strength across carbon FRP sheets and determined the method of corrosion mitigation for galvanic corrosion between the mechanical-fastener bolt interface with the carbon-fiber tows in the FRP. The research concluded there is no statistically significant variance across each carbon FRP sheet, and the rate of corrosion is not significant for needing an updated retrofit. The rate of corrosion does not affect the lifespan of the MF-FRP retrofit, and therefore needs no form of corrosion mitigation.
