Summary: This team designed a unique multi-purpose building for an Ethiopian military facility. This building will initially serve as a tactical operations center for US and partner forces during a combined training exercise, Justified Accord. Following the exercise, the building will be used by the Ethiopian military to support their training and operations. Details for this design included maximizing the use of locally available materials and met applicable international building codes. The design included site details, structural, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC designs. The team worked closely with engineering staff from SETAF-AF throughout the year to create a complete design ready to be submitted for bid by construction contractors.
