Summary: Wildlife crossings present an effective method of promote habitat connectivity between highways and supporting biodiversity. This study sought to research and develop a 50% conceptual design for a wildlife underpass along Interstate 87 as it passes through mile marker 16 and 17 in Cornwall, NY. The site conditions were evaluated to determine the needed transition from the two existing culverts to an underpass and a literature review provided information from prior projects.
