In the deep forests between the March river and the Gamur mountains lie clans too savage for kingdoms to truly lord over, yet too well meant for them to join the Craot Banate down south. In the beggining the herds of satyrs lived a peaceful life in the forest, with the coming of the Maronni republic they enrolled into their legions and fought the Ancient Istvani kingdoms together. As Republic turned into empire and the minotaurs and dwarves were expelled from the istvani provinces they settled in their forests. When the empire fell, these clans fought side by side, letting no invader take a step in, although their friends down south were lost to the craots, who they deemed foes ever since.
A few centuries after the fall they were conquered by the Gyamars of Gahunry, who were quick to appoint a puppet lord into they called "The Kingdom of Magamur" which rose and fell many times, as the clansmen refused the domain of anyone over them, but themselves. With the coming of one named Kialen of the Sharphearts they finally rose to hold themselves, and with the aid of Mythrelle and Ragoza Gahunry failed to conquer them.
The Chieftaindom is ruled by a Great Chieftain who is voted amongst the chieftains of the major clans. The current Great Chieftain is one Kialen Sharpheart, known for her skill with the axe and spell, and being a friend of the Fey. The Capital of Chieftain´s Seat is a veritable metropolis melded with the forest, where minotaurs hammer greataxes and mauls into shape and their fey friends gift them with magic.
The Sharpheart Clans are composed mainly of Satyrs, minotaurs and hill dwarves. Some Oxan people from mythrelle have settled in down south and their seelie friends are less rare up north, where the forest grows the deepest. Sharpheart society is usually very polite, but straightfoward and simple. Laws are few, oppression is frowned upon, but so is manipulation. Honor duels are common place between the minotaurs, but the oxan and the dwarves have partaken in the tradition, as it as been adopted by the cult to Bahamut, which the sharphearts praise amongst Tyr, Moradin and Amaunator.
The usage of magic is promoted by most clans, as long as it is not vile. Satyrs are quick to learn lessons from their eladrin friends, and some minotaurs have made pacts with their seelie friends for greater might.
The Clans deal with their internal affairs with each other, allowing no external forces to meddle in unless they want them to. They are wary of the Craots to the south and the Gahunre across the mountains to the east, but maintain a solid friendship with the Mythrellians and Ragozans across the March river.
When war comes to their land they allow the enemy to sink themselves into the forest, then spring into lethal ambushes. Given the options to run or face armored minotaurs bearing down on them with greataxes, most enemies flee, and are hunted down for sport. When attacking the sharphearts can form basic lines and organize themselves on roughly equally sized warbands, but lack any formal military organization.
When Chieftain Kialen of the Sharphearts freed their brethren from the Gahunre appointed despot she came along with some friends, and not all of them from this world. Whilst the Mythrellians helped build great cities and the Ragozans kept the Gahunre on their side of the mountains, the archfey patron of Kialen, a known warlock, invited her friends to the territory of her friend/servant.
With the invitation of Archfey Gamura many Eladrin and other spirits came into the forests, many with trickery as their intent, which was quickly replaced with honest spoken traits after a few incidents with clan law and consequences. As of today, the fey may treat the clansmen as dumb brutes, but they have nothing but honeyed words for their ears, and happily trade magical knowledge for their brute force.
The seelie fey answer to the Archfey of the court, of which there are uncounted many. Below them are the Fey Lords and their retinues, which the clansmen consider like a clan, but of fey. The details of Fey society are unknown to the Sharphearts, some even feel like their friends purposely leave them in the dark on these matters, but no one has shown real interest to learn about them.
The Fey aid the sharphearts in were they lack the most. With teaching, pacts and gifts they brought the talent of magic to the forest. In exchange, they ask for the Sharphearts to fight with them on their wars. Many satyrs and minotaurs have been sigthed pelting javelins at demons in the 3rd layer of hell, or rushing eldritch monstrosities in the astral plane.
