Amassing the lower half of the peninsula and a great strip of land on the dunes of Tarica across the sea, the Mohad Caliphate is technically one of the crowns, although itself is a veritable empire. Made of Anatol conquered peoples that took over after rebelling with aid from the Caliphate of Auropolis ,the Mohads are no stranger to domination by force .Slaves made by conquest or raid are whipped into submission by their taskmasters and put to work on whatever their lords desire. They are vocal but lacking worshippers of Alsham, harsh warriors yet still passionate about worldly things.
Humans are the most common sight with tieflings and half orcs being close seconds. Owlin, dragonborn, lizardfolk and tieflings are present to some degree as well , specially as mercenaries, and almost all known races are represented in terms of slaves. Cruel control of them is common and reprisal for any wrong doing is brutal.
Law is handled mostly by priestly authorities in the cities while tribal leaders take the lead in the dunes. Worship of Alsham is mandatory in theory, but in practice necromancers, warlocks and other ills are let to fester if they serve the purpose of the elite, and only policed when they stop being useful, In the Caliphate, one´s word is paramount to one´s life , but lives and lies are very cheap to come by.

Their capital is the city of Alja Elaan, built over the ruins of a maronni city .They inherited lost knowledge and most importantly , an oasis in the middle of the desert with seemingly endless water. Tens of thousands quench their thirst on it every day , canals are opened in an effort to grow crops on the dusty sand and not a single drop rains throughout the year, yet the oasis remains full of sparkling water.
Alja Elaan is both an economic and religious powerhouse, with giant temples erected to Alsham as well as bottomless slave pits, mines in the sand and slave workshops. This city is an outlier, most big cities are either on the coast , being rich as piracy harbors, or are small trade wayposts in the roads across the sands, with some few raised as archeological sites or around fortified oasis to keep the nightmares from the deep dunes away.
The current Caliph of the Mohads is Khabir Al Mohad the Loremaster, a high elf whose past is shrouded in myth and mystery. The title of caliph works as the highest title both of nobility and of the religion of Alsham, working as a steward for its throne, awaiting the time he comes to the world to rule. Below the caliph very little is organized, tribal warlords, turncoat nobles, slaver pirate captains, priests and mages organize themselves on a loose hierarchy determined by who is closest to the caliph and who has more real power. Rebellions and infighting are not common on the caliphate, they are the norm.
The territories on the Riamer peninsula are under control of Salman Hajid the cutthroat , a warrior priest of Alsham that has found himself being the only man both faithful and capable to keep the enemies of the caliphate at bay. It is well known that the Caliph regards him as a trusted fellow, but infighting in the mainland has left Salman to his own means on the peninsula.

Like the nobility, the forces of the caliphate are vast and completely irregular. From slave warrior cannon fodder to giant desert lizard riders to camel mounted archers to goliath mercenaries. Mages and priests are commonplace in the army and society, most of them held to high regard. Conjuration and domination both of monsters and people is commonplace, and summoning of djinns, desert devils and arts of necromancy are not as shunned as one would imagine by people so vocally loyal to Alsham.
A small island chain domain subservient to the caliphate, the Emirate of the Alevaz islands is one if not the biggest pirate island near Zentravalk. Located right off the coast of the southern Riamer peninsula, its position leaves it close to the sea routes that the Crown of Aguerre has with the rest of its kingdom. With few populated settlements it serves as a restocking and resting place for dozens of pirate vessels and thousands of raiders, slavers and worse. The Emir, Tuspan the Scimitar of the sea, is a ruthless Tiefling pirate lord that has taken the title of Emir due to him being under the rule of the larger Mohad Caliphate. Despite being a hiding place for no well intended folk, the islands are reasonably safe, as long as you have a sword on your belt or are escorted by such. Law is enforced by pain of amputation or slavery, as to not let good strong men go to waste.
