East of the Magerni empire the lands go flat for miles on end, golden fields of wheat with small villages dotted around, and grand forts walling the nobles in their tall spires from the common rabble.
The Kingdom of the Llapocks is a vast plains with few mountains , hills or forests from the border with the Blessed Maronnian Empire in the west to the Tsardom of the Varangor to the east. To the north they have the Luth Tribes, which in theory are part of their kingdom, as well as the Estun and the Letun, which are most ceirtanly not.
The Llapock peoples are made predominantly of harengon and wood elves, with humans being a not so minor minority. Kenku are the smallest in numbers, being less than a tenth of the common folk. The average llapock is a low class peasant working the land or other manual labor, all of which is heavily taxed to the favor of the nobility, which owns almost every piece of land that there is. Serfdom is common, keeping the farmers tied to the land of the lord in exchange for protection and shelter, but outright slavery has been banned by the church of Amaunator, which more than once intervened in the serf´s behalf.
The Kingdom is a descentralized monarchy, with the noble Schzlata class living in tall spires, hundreds of feet apart from the commoners. The noble families have few fights, mostly over earnings and power, with the king generally leaving them to their own thing as long as they pay the small tax to the royal vault. The current king is Aranion Edraithan of house Celebrentauron , who rules from the capital of Anielmiesz, an ancestral city with a hundred spires shooting into the sky.
Thanks to the Blessed Maronnian Empire´s pressure, the Llapocks have converted to the worship of Amaunator, although the inquisition and the knights of the steel cross patrol villages and cities, always finding pagans to other deities, such as silvanus, gond and mielikki. As to not anger the populus or their nobility, their punishment is lenient, rarely ending in excecution. Blood cults and necromancy are hatred by all, and in this the knights and inquisition´s job is appreciated.
The Llapock nobles keep retinues of wood elves as a banderium of semi professional warriors, preferring them for their longevity, making them have to deal with less people over time, thus gaining more loyal subjects. They are equal to craftsmen and poor traders in terms of wealth, but incredibly loyal, and the core around which the army of conscripted serfs and peasants is made when times of war approach.
In times of war, large armies of peasant infantry arm themselves with spears , slings and war scythes, the same tools for peasant rebellions. The wood elf banderiums are of either light cavalry with lances and axeguns , medium spear infantry or city dwellers trained in the use of the crossbow and armored by their own coin with scale mail.
Right before reaching the Sea of Ice there is a swamped forest that hosts some of the most resilient folk, kindred of the forest that adopted the ways of the walls and roads, but refuse to let go of their woodland friends, and will back their desires with spearwalls and cunning.
The Luth tribes hold domain over vasts forests and swamps, being technically part of the Kingdom of the Llapocks, which they deem as close allies of convienience, trading and serving as mercenaries to the nobles of the Szlachta. They are comprised of firbolg and verdan, with a few grung tribes spread thin troughout the swamps.
There is no overarching ruler of the tribes, though the tribe chieftains elect one senior tribesmen amogst all the tribes to serve as Kalbėtojas, abandoning their tribe to work as a bridge between the outsiders , be them from this world or others. The Kalbėtojas is also named "Duke of Luthland" by the Llapock royal house. The average luth is stern and somewhat stoic to the outside eye, but the facade of sentinel strength is dropped in the comfort of their walled villages and forts. Still, despite their urbanized life and their fields of wheat where once was grassland, they are still very much in tune with the spirits of the land, and refuse to let anything do them harm as if they were part of their tribes.
The Luths pray to Silvanus, Gond, Bahamut, Mielikki, Selune and Sune, as well as many major and minor fey of their land. Druidic magic is part of their religions, having multiple circles established as well as ranger conclaves. This has brought them to conflict with the church of Amaunator, and the Knights of the Steel Cross, whom they have fought since they arrived to their forests. So far they have only taken grasslands with their heavily armored knights, but the season after harvest has been called "The Season of Spears" , for all warriors of the Luths are called to the border of the forest.
In battle, the luths bring a heavy wall of spears to stop enemy charges, plus a few thrown weapons coated with poison. Light cavalry skirmishers keep the knights occupied, and despite their penchance for spearwalls, they are equally capable of skirmishing in the dense forests and deep bogs. Of renown are the multiple woodland spirits that come to the defense of the forest, as well as the Leitis, light cavalry rangers capable of charging down trough swamps and forests, personally led by druid trodsmen into battle alongside their warhound packs.
The kindred of the sky, fallen from heaven and their cities in the clouds, still yearning for their lost haven. Still, the gifts of their ancestors have set them ten steps ahead of the people in the land that they arrived to, which they quickly employed to set themselves as the nobility, ruling from their tall spires with the power of magics as old as the world.
The Szlachta are comprised of Avariel elves and Aasimar of all the galores. They arrived in this land milennia ago, and ever since they have set themselves as rulers of the folk beneath their tall, imposing towers. Proud, alien to any sort of struggle such as famine or plague, shielded by the magics they carried when they fell from heaven. These are the rulers in the sky, their magical knowledge is as vast as their drive is short, and their greed is one of a dragon.
The Szlachta do not work the land, and most of the time do not even administer it. Sitting at the top of society they command their banderiums by letters , whispers and familiars. All they value from the world below is the riches they can obtain, and the things they can unearth to someday return to the kingdom of the sky, their ancestral home of legend.
They have accepted Amaunator as the sole deity in the sky, however, they do not allow any priest or inquisitor in their towers, and it is suspected that they still pray to bahamut, sune, selune and Aerdrie Faenya, their queen of legend. The inquisition has not pushed this matter any further, for they are well aware they would only lose an ally by doing so.
Their talents for magics of the stars and sky are unparalleled, yet they make little effort to expand their arsenal. They posess spheres no bigger than one´s hand capable of exploding with thunder, and they drop them by the dozens over rebelling peasants and enemies, yet a noble house might make half a dozen every year. Enchanted armors from before stories were written posess magics yet not rediscovered, and they remain that way for a lack of trying. In battle, the Szlachta is as mighty as they are lazy, hovering over their enemies, dropping ensured doom and letting their servants mop up the field.
