East of the Anatol Empire lies the land in where most of the Anatols live, a mesh of temperate forests, grasslands and rocky hills in where the horselords live by themselves, enjoying the middleground between the service to the empire and the independence from anyone else.
Much like the empire, the anatols took this region by the sword, the asker and istvani inhabiting it were driven out by violence. Once settled, the anatols of this region continued their support and assisted in the founding of the empire, but refused to ultimately join it. Adem Hamza, the first emperor, was wise enough to not bring battle to his own kin, and continued forth with his small royal retinue, obtaining support from his people on a temporary and always negotiating basis.
The region is populated by anatol humans and tabaxi without a fault, the istvani who survived left to the eastern reaches of the empire, the few asker who were allowed to settle here beforehand were cut to a man. The anatol curiosity for necromancy is very much so present as well as their heretical take on the law of Alsham, but where as in the empire one would see hordes of skeletons slaving away, it is a very rare thing to see undead walking about. Herding, farming and logging are common industries, still aided by undead hands, but mostly by living slave labor. The port cities host many raiding fleets which are sent to trade and obtain slaves, which are then sold at Kabil Merkez.
The tribes are ruled by their own chieftains, but there is no paramount ruler over them. At Kabil Merkez matters are settled twice a year, then each tribe is off to make its own deals. In this hub city one can also find the Minaret of Death, a tower of necromancy built by the anatols themselves based off their own learnings and what they gained from serving the empire.
In combat, the anatol tribesmen preffer to use cavalry tactics with a wide use of bows and mages. Some undead and slaves might be herded to serve as arrow catchers for their meager infantry. Of Renown are the Gergedan, gigantic beasts that live off this land, and the anatol jezzails that are made by master gunsmiths, who learned the centuries old trade from the duergar in but a few decades.
