In addition to its inclusive culture, BMC is particularly dedicated to supporting first-generation students. This commitment is evident through comprehensive scholarship programs, mentorship initiatives, and community events that help foster a sense of belonging and academic success for these students.
In 2024, BMC expanded its efforts to support first-generation students by introducing enhanced mentorship programs. These programs paired first-generation students with experienced faculty members and peers who could provide valuable guidance on navigating the academic landscape. Through these mentorships, students received support in areas such as time management, study skills, career planning, and professional networking, helping them succeed both academically and professionally. In 2024, 69% of BMC's students who starting a degree were first-generation students .
BMC also continued to offer financial aid and scholarships to assist first-generation students facing economic challenges. Events like the Founding Day Charitable Bazaar raised funds specifically to provide these students with the educational resources they need, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their opportunities for success.
Through these initiatives, BMC remains committed to creating an inclusive educational environment where every student, regardless of their background, can thrive and succeed.
