Through regional and international collaboration and joint research projects, BMC review comparative approaches and develop international best practice on tackling the SDGs.
BMC has successful research projects in collaboration with national, regional and international institutions resulted in publishing of high-quality scientific papers in international specialized journals that highlighting the challenges and/or problems facing communities or individuals, addressing the effects, review comparative approaches, recommend, and develop best practice on tackling the SDGs. BMC has a wide range of successful collaborations with international institutions, organizations, and companies through MOUs, and agreements.
BMC's international collaborations are particularly remarkable. Recognized institutions like Maastricht University have partnered with BMC to formulate a contemporary MBBS program. Furthermore, BMC's association with the Harvard Medical School in offering collaborative accredited medical courses is an indication of its global vision. With other collaborations like those with international companies such as AMBOSS GmbH, BMC consistently improves its teaching and learning standards, ensuring its graduates remain competitive.
Other significant collaborations that stand out are BMC's MOU with the University of Arizona and Università degli Studi di Palermo. These partnerships aim to reinforce cooperation in research and academics in areas of shared interest. A highlight of these collaborations includes programs for student and faculty exchanges, which provide exposure and knowledge-sharing opportunities. Additionally, the institutions are working on designing collaborative research projects, pooling their expertise and resources for innovative breakthroughs.
One of the key initiatives by BMC, in collaboration with the American Heart Association, is the introduction of the Basic Life Support (BLS) course, aimed to elevating cardiovascular life support skills.
Another milestone for BMC is its association with the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, during which the college played host for the membership exams. This not only strengthened BMC's standing in the global medical community but also witnessed continuing participation of medical practitioners in these esteemed examinations.
BMC’s Pharmacy program has been accredited Internationally by Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) since 2018. This program is designed to assure pharmacists, boards of pharmacy, and other members of pharmacy’s community of interests, of the quality of continuing pharmacy education programs. Moreover, BMC has been accredited by World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT).
