BMC has placed a significant emphasis on climate action through a series of educational, research, and community outreach efforts. In 2024, BMC amplified its climate-related initiatives, focusing on both awareness campaigns and practical actions to mitigate climate change impacts.

Climate Action Awareness Campaigns

BMC’s Respiratory Therapy Program organized an impactful event in 2024 titled “The Impact of Climate Action on Human Respiratory System Health”. This campaign aimed to raise awareness about how climate change affects public health, particularly respiratory issues. With a focus on practical steps to reduce personal exposure to pollutants, the campaign also encouraged climate-friendly practices among participants.

Promoting Sustainability in Campus Operations

BMC has taken steps to integrate sustainability into its operations. The college’s Sustainable Procurement Policy emphasizes the purchase of eco-friendly products, such as recycled paper and energy-efficient equipment​. Furthermore, BMC encourages its suppliers to adopt sustainable practices, promoting a green supply chain.
