BMC also hosted multiple public events in 2024 that aimed at raising social awareness on pressing issues, as part of its broader commitment to quality education. These events are designed to engage both the BMC community and the broader public, ensuring that education reaches every corner of society.
In October 2023, the Impact of Climate Action on Human Respiratory System Health event was held to raise awareness about the effects of climate change on respiratory health. The event featured interactive lung function testing stations, providing participants with practical tools to assess their own health while emphasizing the importance of climate action. This event helped participants understand how lifestyle choices and climate initiatives directly impact health, thus contributing to broader learning goals related to sustainability and public health.
BMC also organized the Food & Medication Waste Campaign in December 2023, aiming to raise awareness about food and medication waste. The campaign encouraged BMC students to donate unused medications for charitable purposes and provided practical guidance on how to creatively reduce food waste. This campaign was not only a community outreach event but also an educational initiative that encouraged responsible consumption and waste management practices.
