Ceratophyllum demersum
Generalidades

Nombre común: Bejuquillo, putzuri (purépecha), zoongua (purépecha) (en la zona).
Características generales:
Planta perenne acuática, herbácea, que vive sumergida y sujeta al fondo por unas ramas especiales amarillentas.
Los tallos, de 20-80 cm, están escasamente ramificados y tienen hojas dispuestas en verticilos de 8 - 10, por lo general más largas que los entrenudos y divididas 2, a veces una, dicotómicamente, con los segmentos denticulados; las hojas estivales tienen los segmentos de 0.1 - 0.2 mm de anchura.
