Características generales:
Se trata de un arbusto o pequeño árbol capaz de crecer hasta alcanzar los 3,5 metros de altura.
Puede ser una interesante opción ornamental gracias a sus hojas compuestas lustrosas, coriáceas de color verde oscuro, a menudo con pecíolos teñidos de rojo, que pueden tornarse amarillas o marrones durante las temporadas de frío.
Las hojas nuevas son de color rosado.
