How do I love thee?

Let me count the ways

My heart you can reach

Even if we are far

Like two ends of a rope.

I can feel

when you shake the rope

I love you with a burning passion

Like the flame you light in me

Lighting my path with you behind

But the flame is also a comfort

like the setting sun’s delight

I love you with the same love I thought

has been stripped of me.

Because of you I know I will be fine

because my love has been found

and I won’t lose it again

I love you with all my breath,

all my smiles, laughs and tears

Even when God says “it's time”

My love will still be with you
