He thought

He found the one so perfect.

How did she make him feel so? 

He can’t be exact

But it began when he found her contact

Their first interaction

had him feel an attraction.

It began with just a word,

then there’s no counteraction.

So they talked into the night.

He was enchanted by her eyes

A deep black that dulls his pain,

and saw no stain.

But abruptly they stopped

He knows not of the reason 

When asked he speaks with no cohesion

But a toll was took from him

He cried

He cried!

He cried the tears of a man

who once loved 

but did not understand

how it was to unlove

He tries to find comfort in another

but his efforts in vain

because she had smothered him

in stains
