Physical Education
The Physical Education Department has orchestrated several significant events throughout the academic year, each designed to promote physical wellness, resilience, and team spirit among our students.

Springfield Carnival
Our inaugural Springfield Carnival transformed the school grounds into a vibrant hub of sporting activities and friendly competition. Students participated in an array of traditional sports and novel games, fostering both competitive spirit and camaraderie. The carnival featured innovative station games, inter-class competitions, and exciting relay events that encouraged participation from students of all abilities.
In collaboration with Springfield Parents Network, game booths and interactive activities were planned for our Springfielders
Resilience Run
Resilience Run at Bedok Reservoir Park stands out as a memorable highlight in many students' school experiences. Beyond just a physical challenge, it creates lasting positive memories and valuable life lessons.
Students particularly appreciate the camaraderie that develops during the run. Many share how encouraging their peers during challenging moments helped forge stronger friendships. The shared sense of accomplishment when crossing the finish line together creates bonds that extend well beyond the running track.
The scenic route around Bedok Reservoir offers students a refreshing break from their usual classroom environment. Many participants express joy at spotting wildlife like monitor lizards and herons during their run, turning what could be a demanding physical exercise into an engaging outdoor adventure.
Personal achievements become significant milestones. Students who initially doubted their ability to complete the full circuit often surprise themselves, building confidence that carries over into their academic and personal lives.
The supportive atmosphere makes a significant impact. Teachers and Springfield Parents Network offering words of encouragement, fellow students running alongside those who are struggling, and the collective cheering at the finish line create an uplifting environment that students remember fondly.

Team Challenge
The Team Challenge event embodied our commitment to developing collaborative skills and strategic thinking through physical activities. Students worked in teams to overcome various obstacles and complete complex tasks that required both physical prowess and mental acuity. The challenges included problem-solving elements, communication exercises, and physical activities that could only be completed through effective teamwork. This event particularly highlighted the importance of cooperation, leadership, and mutual support in achieving common goals.
Throughout these events, our PE department has consistently emphasised the development of both physical skills and school values. The activities have contributed significantly to building a more resilient, collaborative, and physically active student body.
