Springfield’s NPCC (Sea), one of only three sea units in the country, had a vibrant and eventful year filled with enriching activities. Thanks to the unwavering support of our alumni Cadet Instructors and NPCC HQ, our cadets participated in a range of courses such as the Civil Defence Course, the Singapore Anti-Narcotics Association (SANA) Course, and insightful lectures conducted by the Coast Guard.
Over the year, our unit took part in key experiences including the Annual Unit Camp and the Adventure Training Camp (ATC). We also embarked on meaningful Learning Journeys to the Police Heritage Centre, Home Team Gallery, and Brani Base. Opportunities to connect with cadets from other schools arose during the CSI Competition and Area Sports Day. A notable highlight for many was the exhilarating live firing session.
NPCC’s mission is to nurture students into confident, disciplined, and socially responsible individuals. Through diverse training programmes—ranging from camps, parades, drills, and campcraft competitions to weapons training and community service—cadets develop essential life skills such as resilience, teamwork, and empathy. These experiences not only build character but also foster mutual respect and strong bonds within the squad.
Every course and badge earned marks a step forward in a cadet’s growth. The structured progression and ranking system within NPCC provides clear goals, motivating students to strive for excellence and to contribute meaningfully as active citizens.
