Secondary Applications for 2024

There are still just over three weeks left for parents/carers to apply for secondary school places for children due to start Year 7 in September 2024. The deadline is Midnight on Tuesday 31 October 2023.

This year the County Council is running drop-in sessions at libraries for parents/carers who require support with their applications. These are on the following dates:

•          Monday 9 October, 9.30am-3.30pm - Havant Library The Meridian Centre, Elm Lane, Havant, PO9 1UN

•          Wednesday 11 October, 9.30am-3.30pm - Basingstoke Discovery Centre Festival Place, Basingstoke, RG21 7LS

•          Monday 16 October, 9.30am-3.30pm - Havant Library The Meridian Centre, Elm Lane, Havant, PO9 1UN

•          Wednesday 18 October, 9.30am-3.30pm - Basingstoke Discovery Centre Festival Place, Basingstoke, RG21 7LS

Parents/carers are being reminded to name three schools to give them the best chance of securing a place at one of their preferred schools. If you have already submitted your application but haven't listed three schools, you can still log back into the School Admissions system at any time to update your application before the deadline.

You can now go online, or alternatively request paper forms by emailing admissions.team@hants.gov.uk or from any Hampshire school.

If applied online and on time, you will be notified of the outcome of your application on 1 March 2024, and two to three working days later by letter if you applied using a paper form. For more information about the admissions process, visit the County Council's website.
