Vaping Update

Further to the Headteacher's update on how we are tackling the problem of vaping within Swanmore College, if you would like to support us with this issue and share your views by joining our forum, please complete the expression of interest form via this link: https://forms.gle/U63dk6cerKLTCvcV8

We are all aware of the potential risks associated with the underage use of vapes and we are all supported by Hampshire County in trying to help tackle this issue. Hampshire County produced a range of information and advice materials that we hope you will find helpful, including the attached leaflet to help you fully understand the impact of vaping. It explains the health risks to children and young people, the law regarding the use of vapes, as well as the environmental impact - especially of disposable vapes.

In addition to their work with schools, the County Council is tackling the underage sale of vapes and illegal vapes through Hampshire Trading Standards. If you need to report information concerning vapes to Trading Standards, please visit Hampshire Trading Standards and use the 24/7 regional reporting facility listed under 'Tobacco and Vapes'.

Celebrating Success

To celebrate and champion the achievements of your child, we will be introducing 'Successes of the Term' and would love to hear about any achievements and successes your child has received outside of college. We encourage you to send us this information via this link: https://forms.gle/gqBJj4iCVhj4d9ps8
