Pupil Absence/Appointments
Please contact us before 8.30 am on each day of absence/appointments. Absence is a safeguarding concern. Lack of notification results in a text alert querying why your child is absent. You can phone on 01489 892256, choosing Option 1, or use the relevant email address below. Please also use these emails to report any early collections / late arrivals due to appointments:

End of Term
On the last day of term, Friday 15 December 2023, Swanmore College will close early at 12.40 pm. Our transport operators have been informed and will be on site to collect pupils.

Attendance/SIMS Parent App
Please be aware that there is sometimes a discrepancy between what we have recorded on our SIMS Database and what can be seen on the SIMS Parent App. For example, the app may show a pupil as absent when in fact they arrived late. If this is the case, when a pupil signs in at Pupil Reception, we will update the information on SIMS but it may not be reflected on the app. If a bus is late, we update the system with this information to ensure this does not affect attendance. Legally, we are obliged to mark a pupil as offsite when they are not in attendance, and we cannot amend this. We do, however, update the information when pupils arrive and put a footnote with the relevant information.

Drug Education UK

DRED UK will be coming to Swanmore College on Thursday 30 November 2023 to raise awareness of the risks and prevalence of misuse, including key information about drugs, alcohol, solvents, tobacco and vaping. They will deliver presentations to all our pupils throughout the day and will also provide a talk to parents/carers that evening at 5.30 pm in the main hall.  If you would like to attend the evening presentation by the DRED team on 30.11.23, could you please fill out the attendance form via this link: https://forms.gle/ZM4yY4wNCMtCFBWSA

Iceland Trip Meeting

Reminder that there is a meeting on Monday 27 November 2023 from 6pm to 7pm in the main hall for parents/carers and pupils going on the 2024 Iceland Trip. This meeting will provide information regarding rooms, food, travel, and packing. Please remember to bring passports with you.

Ice Pack Amnesty

We are missing a number of ice packs which have been lent out to pupils. Please could we ask you to check your child’s bag in case these have been taken home by mistake. If any are found, please ask your child to urgently return them to Pupil Reception or the Welfare Office.
